1st M-F Job Description The Maintenance Technician performs routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and industrial systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production machinery and facility infrastructure. This role diagnoses and repairs equipment malfunctions, supports installation and commissioning of new machinery, and maintains accurate maintenance records while collaborating closely with production and engineering teams. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and industrial systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in production machinery and facility infrastructure using appropriate tools, test equipment, and troubleshooting methods. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including air handlers, compressors, and thermostats. Inspect, service, and repair industrial equipment such as mixers, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machines. Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery, production equipment, and HVAC units. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals to support accurate repairs and installations. Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair tasks in accordance with safety and company standards. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and document findings, actions taken, and parts used. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories using basic computer systems. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns in a timely and professional manner. Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times, including proper lockout/tagout procedures and safe use of tools and equipment. Support call-outs and occasional weekend work as needed to ensure continuous operation of critical equipment. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field. Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and industrial systems. Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals. Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance and maintenance repair on production equipment. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair in an industrial environment. Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting in support of equipment diagnostics. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Basic computer skills for logging and tracking maintenance data. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team. Willingness to support call-outs and weekend work when needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical training, trade school, or relevant maintenance certification preferred. Experience working with mixers, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machines is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability and safety. Effective communication skills to collaborate with production and engineering personnel. Work Environment This role operates in a semi climate-controlled industrial facility, working directly on production machinery and building systems. The position is scheduled on a first shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the need to remain open to occasional call-outs and weekend work to support critical maintenance needs. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment while moving between production areas and mechanical spaces. Safety procedures and standards are an integral part of daily work, and the environment supports focused, hands-on technical tasks in collaboration with production and engineering teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pryor, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
