Job Description
Maintenance Technician - _ Manufacturing Setting _ Company Overview Shuert Technologies is the global leader in the manufacture of reusable twin sheet thermoformed pallets and other innovative reusable packaging solutions. We apply our deep product development knowledge and production best practices to deliver products that offer increased transportation payload, improved ergonomics, reduced solid waste, and reduced carbon footprint. About the Role Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery, the support equipment, building and equipment on the grounds. What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial control systems on thermoforming machines, plastic extruders, and auxiliary equipment.
- Work with 480V / 220V / 120V / 24VDC control wiring and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair sensors, relay logic, contactors, and control circuits.
- Configure and maintain Allen-Bradley and SEW drives (parameter setup, speed reference, and fault diagnostics).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and wiring prints.
- Perform mechanical maintenance involving pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, and gearboxes.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and assist with equipment installations and upgrades.
- Communicate effectively and work closely with production, engineering, and other maintenance team members Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance or automation experience (plastics, extrusion, or thermoforming preferred).
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems - this is not a construction electrician role.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Keyence PLCs, I/O wiring, industrial sensors, and drives.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting ability.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and industrial best practices.
- Team-oriented and reliable with strong communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or degree preferred.
