Maintenance Technician

Job Overview We are presently seeking an Facilities Maintenance Technician who will support our Optics manufacturing company.

Main responsibilities:

Understanding of PLCs, ability to access programs for troubleshooting purposes Common knowledge of hand tools and electrical testing equipment Maintains detailed documentation of service repair tickets and preventive maintenance tasks performed Support Safety Program with facilities issues Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance and reports on general manufacturing equipment such as starters, start/stop stations, motors and rotating machinery Work with production personnel to troubleshoot and understand mechanical problems Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, check blueprints, repair manuals, and maintain parts catalog. Maintain building, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gas systems Contract with outside suppliers as required to support all above Performs required inventory transactions to ensure accurate inventory of parts and supplies Continually, informally assesses building, grounds, and machinery with respect to functionality, professional appearance, and safety Assists Facilities manager with daily and special projects Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant facility maintenance function(s) HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical experience/skills preferred PLC Programming Manufacturing experience required Cleanroom, Building Automated Systems and DI Water experience is a plus Personal Computer skills including proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel Demonstrated dependability and flexibility Ability to work independently as well as with a team Positive, honest, creative, and energetic attitude Ability to handle multiple roles and support requests simultaneously with excellent follow-up Ability to lift up to of 40 pounds Ability to be on your feet for eight hours Valid driver's license and good driving record High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or trade school preferred Pay Range $28-$34 per hour, depending on experience.
