Maintenance Technician Job Description Are you seeking experience in an automated facility? Working on automated conveyors, robots, electrical and mechanical work on modern day automation systems. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing maintenance and repair on equipment, machinery, electrical and power systems, as well as building, This role involves overseeing the building safety program an helping the team keep the building safe. Responsibilities Work on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure smooth operation of the automation system. Correct jams to maintain the operational status of the automation system. Leverage transferable skills from prior automotive experience if coming from the automotive industry Walk and stand for an entire shift within a distribution company. Train on-site to acquire necessary skills, given basic knowledge in electrical and mechanical areas. Essential Skills High School Diploma or GED Ability to use a computer and communicate effectively with the team Basic knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work within a team Perform basic equipment repairs and correct jams Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a large automated distribution company with a focus on teamwork and skill development. Technicians will work on a 2nd shift maintenance schedule or weekend PM maintenance, with shifts available on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
