Job Description

Maintenance Technician 2nd shift Flyer paid holidays, 401(k) United States, Alabama, Anniston 106 National Drive (Show on map) May 20, 2026 Flyer is North America's heavy-duty transit bus leader, providing sustainable mobility solutions through transit buses, technology, and infrastructure. POSITION GOAL
To maintain all plant equipment and ensuring Production up time is maintained at 100%. Support the key operating principles of safety, quality, operational excellence, our lean journey and continuous improvement while meeting or exceeding internal customer expectations. Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Comply with all company safety policies. Look for and recognize safety concerns and push to resolution. Maintain a high level of quality of the work being performed. Maintain the required work schedule while coordinating with production and manufacturing engineering for production equipment and area availability. Interface and communicate with other departments or affected areas to ensure that production impact is minimized at all times. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ensure all work orders are closed when completed and submitted to Team Lead. Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Team Lead as requested.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to bend and run conduit, select correct wire type/size for amp load per NEC. Troubleshoot control voltage from 0 to 480V. Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, HVAC, and all types of motors and pumps. Ability to safely leave one project in order to support higher priority Production stoppages. Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Industrial Maintenance preferred Experience/Knowledge PLC and Laser Fab experience preferred Equipment/Machines Used Computer Voltage/Amp meters Test probes Specific Job Skills (eg. computer skills, communication, motivation, organizational skills) Must have good people skills Must have good oral and written communication skills Must be able to monitor and control many different tasks Must have medium level computer skills Must possess mechanical aptitude Must be able to read blueprints General Attitude Requirement Positive individual willing to accept challenges in a fast-paced environment Maintain high level of professionalism when dealing individuals and problems. Promotes a team environment Physical Activity/Requirements Must be able to stand for long periods of time Ability to function within a manufacturing environment General office physical requirements.
