Maintenance Technician Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate:

$37.00 - $43.00 per hour

2nd or 3rd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Hours:

50+ hours per week with overtime potential up to 70 hours

Northlake, IL Job Summary A global manufacturing leader is seeking an industrial Maintenance Technician for a high-speed production facility. You will perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on automated machinery. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures. Troubleshoot automated PLC-controlled machinery and three-phase power distribution systems. Execute routine preventive maintenance, including machinery lubrication, wear measurement, and tracking. Perform mechanical repairs on heavy industrial motors, drives, and power transmission components. Conduct structural welding and basic metal fabrication to repair or modify facility equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work order documentation, and part inventory records.

Qualifications and Skills Experience:

5-7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Automation:

Proven capability troubleshooting PLCs and automated electrical control systems.

Power Systems:

Hands-on experience working with industrial three-phase electricity and motor controls.

Technical Literacy:

Proficient at reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.

Experience:

Stable work history with strong tenure; experience with corrugating equipment is a major plus.

Work Environment Setting:

Fast-paced, high-speed industrial manufacturing facility.

Conditions:

Non-climate-controlled environment subject to seasonal temperature shifts. Must be comfortable working consistent overtime.
