Maintenance Technician

Our client is currently seeking or in need of a skilled Maintenance Technician in Brockton, MA , to help keep production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and consistently. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working in a hands-on maintenance environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machine issues, completing repairs, and documenting completed work. The right candidate will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Day-to-Day:

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machinery Clean machines and machine parts thoroughly, including removing and reinstalling components when needed Oil and lubricate moving parts to support proper equipment performance Identify damaged, worn, or broken parts and report concerns appropriately Order and install replacement parts for machines Troubleshoot unexpected equipment breakdowns and determine the cause of issues Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently to reduce downtime Prepare reports documenting maintenance work, repairs, and completed service Follow safety procedures while working around machinery and equipment Maintain an organized work area and support overall facility operations

Qualifications:

High school diploma required Vocational training, community college coursework, or equivalent related experience preferred Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills Ability to work well independently and with others Good verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery Must be able to visually inspect machines and identify maintenance concerns Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Pay Rate:

$21.00 to $25.00 per hour

Schedule:
