Job Description

At Hallmark Resort & Spa, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in one of Oregon's most iconic coastal destinations. Our dedicated team is passionate about providing top-notch service while ensuring our property remains safe, functional, and beautiful for our guests. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who shares our commitment to quality and service excellence. This is a leadership role for someone with strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Position Overview:
This role will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager with overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring the resort facilities and equipment are maintained in optimal condition. This position requires flexibility but occasional coverage for alternate shifts will be necessary based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Maintenance Manager in scheduling and assigning tasks to maintenance staff Act as the point of contact during the Maintenance Manager's absence Perform hands-on maintenance duties across multiple disciplines including:
Plumbing:
Repair leaks, unclog drains, maintain water systems
Electrical:
Troubleshoot and repair lighting, outlets, and wiring
Appliances:
Diagnose and repair gas and electric appliances
Painting & Finishing:
Touch-ups, wall repairs, and surface maintenance
Carpentry/Millwork:
Repair doors, cabinetry, flooring, and fixtures Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning properly and safely Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely repairs and minimal guest disruption Use basic computer programs to manage work orders, email communication, and maintenance records Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in hospitality, property management, or a related field Supervisory or lead experience is preferred but not required Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff and management Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable to changing priorities Ability to work flexible shifts when needed Basic computer skills for work order systems and email Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor)

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
