Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities, turning homes and maintaining property curb appeal. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your electrical, carpet installing, painting and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced setting, contributing directly to the success of our operations. Duties Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting Installing carpet and vinyl Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors Make ready units for new move‐ins Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping Pool maintenance Coordinate special projects as directed Requirements Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and work safely with electrical systems. Strong ability to repair/fix appliances and troubleshooting Strong ability to lift and install carpet Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration. Must have a valid ID Must be able to pass a drug test Uphold all company policies, goals and values. Resident Relations Represent the community in a professional manner at all times-on/off property. Deliver communication documentation to residents. Contribute to resident retention programs. Safety Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner. Learns and ensures compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules. Immediately report all unsafe conditions. Essential Job Functions Fair Housing certification. Neat, clean and professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community. Operate vehicle and drivers license required according to community needs. Successfully pass a drug test. Demonstrate ability to perform tasks described above without seeking outside contractor assistance. Demonstrate strong communication skills for communicating with residents, co-workers, and senior management. Demonstrate ability to contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community. Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.
