Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

Works under general supervision in maintaining the equipment and building in a safe and operational manner. Repairs and replaces parts in equipment throughout the Hospital, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals, using various hand and power tools. Trouble shoots and performs various tests on equipment in making operation assessments. Provides supply, receiving, and distribution functions for Purchasing and Stores. Uses independent judgment in performing job.

Qualifications:

Work requires the ability to read and write well enough to follow specific instructions as well as the ability to use independent judgment, which is normally acquired through completion of a high school education Work requires a complete working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, as well as, carpentry skills which is normally acquired after 1-3 years related experience in the above areas The above statements are intended to describe the functions and related requirements of persons assigned to this job.
