Maintenance Technician

Job Title:

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and routine inspections on CNC machining centers, robotic welding cells, and automation systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production and facility equipment. Troubleshoot CNC controls, automated robotic cells, sensors, motors, and PLC-driven systems to restore proper operation. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and maintain consistent output. Support robotic welding cells by resolving alarms, I/O faults, sensor issues, and minor program interruptions. Monitor material-handling robotics, conveyors, automated inspection systems, and other automation equipment for proper performance. Ensure safe and proper functionality of robotic guarding, light curtains, and other safety devices. Perform mechanical repairs on CNC machining centers, including spindles, tool changers, coolant systems, and axis drives. Apply welding skills when needed to support equipment repair and maintenance activities. Essential Skills At least 2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for CNC machines, robotic welding cells, and industrial equipment. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including work with 3-phase power and industrial motors. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience working with CNC machines and/or robotic welding equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery, with Fanuc or Allen-Bradley experience considered a plus. Experience with automation systems, including robotic automation, automation machines, and material-handling robotics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience with robotic welding cells and automated inspection systems. Experience troubleshooting PLCs and related control systems in an industrial environment. Exposure to fully automated facilities and advanced automation technologies. Ability to perform welding tasks to support maintenance and repair activities. Experience in industrial maintenance, including installation, service, and repair of production machinery. Comfort working with automation safety systems such as guarding, light curtains, and safety interlocks. Strong service-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Speedway, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
