No Job Purpose:

The duty of a Maintenance Technician is to assist in the maintenance and repairs that are needed on the buildings and equipment across the property. They are also required to assists that tradesmen within the department on various projects that occur throughout the year. They are to read work orders carefully and take instructions from the Assistant Maintenance/Maintenance Manager.

Job Duties:

Ability to work without direct supervision. Good communication skills. Detail orientated. Self-motivated. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Knowledge of safety and injury procedures. Ability to develop good relationships with co-workers and guests. All other duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Assignments:

This position is both an administrative and active position and will require equipment to be moved weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. This position may be exposed to hazards such as adverse weather conditions, loud noise, frequent and extra working hours due to demands of events, and other related factors such as upset guests if something does not goes as originally planned. You must be comfortable with water safety and be able to respond to water safety events on tours, which could potentially become high stress situations. This position is also required to work events during weekend hours, and nights as determined by event needs. Qualifications and Requirements:

Required:

Ability to read work orders and follow instructions. Cleaning the areas of the maintenance building and parking lot which includes, but is not limited to, buffing, dusting, sweeping and mopping. Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for bi-weekly pick up. Assists the carpenter in maintaining and repairing aspects of the property such as wooden parts of the buildings, painting docks, parking lot and sidewalk repairs. Maintain true knowledge of company facilities and related services utilizing the Hours of Operations guide. Perform all duties and responsibilities to the standards set by the company. Assists other departments as needed with furniture moving, unloading and storing supplies. Assists the Grounds Maintenance Department as needed.

Preferred:
