Summary:

A Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A PM Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility. Some other tasks a PM Technician may be called upon to do include:

What You'll Do:

Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures Trouble shooting machinery during line down situations Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries Preventative maintenance TIG and MIG welding as needed for repairs Skills, Requirements and Minimum Education Level High school Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience in the maintenance field. Experience in metal fabrication and food processing are preferred but not required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, building maintenance, electrical, refrigeration, and utilities. Understands and has experience in manufacturing facilities, equipment and machinery, and electrical control systems. Preferred experience with Colborne, Baxter rotating rack ovens, Commercial bakery mixers, Robot Coupe, and Vemag(dough divider). Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds. Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
