Job Description

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician at Valleyview of Jordan! Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly? Valleyview of Jordan Assisted Living is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our compassionate team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our community remains safe, comfortable, and welcoming for residents and staff alike.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the building, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment while interacting respectfully and kindly with our residents.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems (as capable). Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner. Conduct daily and weekly building inspections to identify maintenance needs. Maintain the community grounds, including snow removal, lawn care, and seasonal cleanup. Assist with apartment turns—painting, patching, replacing fixtures, and general repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and after-hours calls (when on rotation). Work with outside vendors and contractors as needed. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and supply inventory. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, including fire safety systems and equipment. Provide friendly assistance to residents while maintaining professional boundaries. Assist with the snow removal of the community
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior maintenance, construction, or facility experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building systems. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving and time-management skills. Compassionate and respectful demeanor when interacting with residents. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Schedule & Benefits:
