Quality Technician

Valley Staffing is seeking candidates for a quality technician role. This position requires some hands on quality related experience. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with opportunities for growth after hire on.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-process, incoming, and outgoing inspections to ensure products meet specifications. Conduct visual inspections and precise measurements using a variety of inspection tools and equipment. Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and work order specifications. Record inspection data and generate quality and inspection reports. Identify, document, and process non-conforming materials and products. Support production and shipping teams with quality-related questions and inspection needs. Monitor and maintain inspection equipment, gauges, fixtures, and quality samples. Utilize the company ERP system to enter and manage inspection data and documentation. Assist with maintaining quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all safety procedures and promote a safety-first work environment. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience using inspection equipment in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical manufacturing data. Basic math and trigonometry skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and reporting. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing needs. Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Understanding of

ISO 9001

quality systems. Knowledge of gage calibration, traceability, and proper handling of inspection tools. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain positive working relationships. Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience in a metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment. Familiarity with capability studies and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience calibrating mechanical inspection tools.
