Maintenance Technician

Duties :

General maintenance /repair/upgrades to County buildings (including the Platte County Detention Facility), grounds and equipment. Occasional custodial and mailroom duties. Physical and other

Requirements :

This position regularly requires bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, overhead work and lifting. Lifting loads in excess of 50 pounds may be necessary on occasion. Exposure to the ambient heat/humidity and cold are sometimes required. Position must be available for "on-call" duty on a rotating schedule. Flexible hours may be considered. Qualified candidates must demonstrate an ability to work alone and in groups. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to work in an office setting as well as within the Platte County Detention Center. This position will require unescorted access to the County Courthouse, Sheriff's Offices and detention facility. The ability to pass an background check is required.
