Maintenance/ Transportation Director Position Category Maintenance/Custodial Position Type Director Posting Start Date 4/16/2026 Posting End Date 7/31/2026 Position Start Date 5/18/2026 School District Indianola City, State Indianola , OK United States Description Indianola Public Schools is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance & Transportation Director to oversee the daily operations of district facilities and student transportation services. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained school buildings, as well as coordinating bus routes, vehicle maintenance, and driver supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to student safety. Responsibilities include managing maintenance staff, developing schedules for preventative maintenance, overseeing transportation logistics, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining accurate records. Preferred qualifications include experience in facilities management, transportation coordination, or a related field. A CDL (or willingness to obtain) is beneficial. Indianola Public Schools is a small, rural district committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff.
