SEASONAL

Maintenance Worker. This position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Director with general maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds of Star to ensure safety of individuals, staff and guests. Will maintain and repair equipment as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED. Ability to operate and maintain various lawncare tools and equipment. Knowledge of landscaping and equipment. Basic experience with power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools. Possess a valid driver's license that meets the requirements of the insurance carrier. General knowledge in maintenance and building upkeep required. Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds. Must be responsible for on-call duties. This position requires the availability for flexible work schedules. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and the ability to speak and write proficiently in English is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine lawn maintenance such as mowing, edging, mulching and trimming. Maintain flower beds by weeding, mulching, planting new flowers and shrubs Safely operate and maintain lawncare equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers. Assist with general upkeep of buildings and grounds. Performs routine maintenance on buildings Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion and report work as completed. Drive vehicles back and forth for repairs and routine maintenance from Star to designated garages. Operate tractors and other equipment. Assist with snow removal. Communicates with Maintenance Director any repairs that are needed or safety concerns that need addressed. Successfully complete in-service requirements and meet renewal schedules. Will perform other duties as assigned.
