Description of Work Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is currently recruiting for a full-time Maintenance/Construction Tech III (Plumber). Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: General plumbing maintenance and repair Installation of ADA-compliant bathroom fixtures Installation and repair of water, sewer, and steam lines Working from written work orders, instruction manuals, blueprints, sketches, and oral instructions with precision and accuracy Compliance with state, federal, and local codes as applicable Miscellaneous mechanical duties Safeguarding residents, staff, and visitors at all times

ABOUT BLACK MOUNTAIN NEURO-MEDICAL TREATMENT CENTER

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state-operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

NCDHHS SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

DHHS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions with the most qualified individuals.
