Maintenance/Ground Hand

Maintenance/Ground Hand Hudson Aggregates Position Summary Hudson Aggregates is seeking a dependable, hardworking Ground Hand with industrial or aggregate plant experience to support daily plant operations, maintenance activities, cleanup, and production support. This is an entry-to-mid level role ideal for someone who has spent time working around wash plants, crushing operations, quarries, recycling facilities, concrete plants, or other heavy industrial environments and understands the importance of safety, uptime, and teamwork. The right candidate will be mechanically minded, willing to work outdoors in all conditions, and capable of assisting operators, mechanics, and plant leadership with keeping the operation running efficiently. Responsibilities Assist with daily plant operations and production support Perform general plant cleanup and housekeeping Support maintenance crews during repairs, shutdowns, and inspections Help change screens, belts, rollers, hoses, and other wear items Grease equipment and assist with preventative maintenance tasks Use hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment safely Monitor conveyors, pumps, motors, and plant components for issues Assist loader operators, excavator operators, and plant operators as needed Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or downtime to supervisors Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining efficient plant flow Preferred Experience Previous experience around: Aggregate plants Wash plants Quarries Recycling facilities Concrete or asphalt plants Industrial operations Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools Experience working around conveyors, crushers, pumps, or heavy equipment preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment Strong work ethics and willingness to learn Dependable attendance and positive attitude MSHA or OSHA training is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, and varying weather conditions Ability to climb ladders, walk uneven terrain, and work around heavy equipment safely Ability to stand and work long shifts when needed Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities available Paid holidays Benefits package available Opportunity for advancement within a growing company Why Join Hudson Aggregates?
