The Reimbursement Manager is responsible for the overall performance, outcomes, and financial health of the company's accounts receivable. This role owns the end-to-end AR process, ensuring timely billing, effective collections, denial mitigation, and accurate cash application while driving reduction in outstanding receivables and bad debt. This position is accountable for influencing and improving AR outcomes by ensuring teams actively manage their assigned portfolios, resolve denials, and prioritize paid resolution over write-offs whenever appropriate. The Reimbursement Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the department while ensuring compliance with all regulations and alignment with organizational financial goals and service excellence standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversees daily AR operations including billing, follow-up, collections, denial management, and cash posting to ensure timely and accurate revenue cycle performance. Holds direct accountability for AR outcomes, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), aging performance, cash collections, and reduction of bad debt. Ensures performance meets or exceeds established SLAs and organizational targets. Ensures team members actively manage and take ownership of their assigned AR portfolios, including timely follow-up on outstanding balances and prioritization of high-impact accounts. Drives a proactive approach to denial management, including identification of root causes, implementation of mitigation strategies, and prevention of recurring issues. Ensures teams prioritize paid resolution over write-offs, leveraging all appropriate collection efforts, payer escalations, and account resolution strategies before adjustments are considered. Monitors AR metrics and performance trends (aging, denial rates, payer performance, productivity), and takes immediate corrective action when targets are not met. Establishes clear expectations for productivity and quality, ensuring receivables are worked within defined timelines and follow-up standards. Responsible for the hiring, training, coaching, and development of staff, with a focus on building accountability, AR ownership mindset, and strong revenue cycle expertise. Conducts routine audits of AR work to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of collection and denial resolution efforts. Delegates work appropriately while developing team members to take ownership of performance and outcomes within their scope. Maintains compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including HIPAA and payer-specific requirements. Escalates and manages operational risks such as system issues, payer disruptions, or staffing challenges, ensuring continuity of AR performance through contingency planning. Collaborates cross-functionally to address upstream issues impacting AR (e.g., intake, documentation, billing errors) and improve overall revenue cycle efficiency. Routinely reports on AR performance and communicates risks, trends, and improvement plans to senior leadership. Performs other duties as assigned by the DirectorREQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position manages all employees of the department, including hiring, development, performance management and discipline within company and department guidelines.WORK ENVIRONMENT
