In partnership with Rising Point Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on founder-owned services businesses, ABC is continuing an aggressive growth strategy through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence. We are seeking a highly driven and analytical Manager of M&A to help lead acquisition sourcing, diligence, execution, and integration efforts across our expanding residential home services platform. Position Overview The Manager of M&A will play a highly visible role within ABC and work closely with executive leadership and Rising Point Capital to identify and execute strategic acquisitions. This role will partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and integration teams to support all phases of the M&A lifecycle. This position is based in Arlington Heights, IL (approximately 30 minutes outside Chicago) and requires travel to acquisition targets, trade conferences, and branch locations as needed. What You'll Do Acquisition Sourcing & Pipeline Development Build and maintain a proprietary pipeline of acquisition targets across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and adjacent residential service trades Develop and execute AI-powered outbound sourcing campaigns targeting founder-owned and family-owned businesses Build relationships with business owners, brokers, and industry partners through direct outreach and conference attendance Maintain CRM discipline and provide regular pipeline reporting to executive leadership and the Board Diligence & Deal Execution Lead financial, commercial, and operational diligence efforts for acquisition targets Coordinate Quality of Earnings (QofE) reviews, market analysis, customer analysis, and operational benchmarking Build and maintain financial models, returns analysis, and synergy models Prepare investment memos, indicative offers, and Letters of Intent (LOIs) Manage external advisors across legal, accounting, tax, insurance, and operational diligence workstreams Integration & Value Creation Serve as project manager for post-close integration initiatives Partner with operations teams to execute Day 1 readiness plans including systems, branding, payroll, and customer communications Track synergy realization and integration milestones against acquisition assumptions Help develop scalable integration playbooks for future acquisitions Strategy & Reporting Support development of ABC's multi-year M&A roadmap and expansion strategy Prepare quarterly M&A updates for the Board of Directors and investors Contribute to broader strategic initiatives including pricing analysis, technician retention strategies, and operational best practices What We're Looking For 4-7 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate development, or related fields Direct M&A execution experience including financial modeling, diligence management, and deal structuring Experience in residential services, multi-site businesses, or skilled trades industries strongly preferred Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including LBO and add-on acquisition analysis Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work directly with founder-owners Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability Willingness to travel as needed Education Bachelor's degree required MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred but not required Why Join ABC?
