Responsible for the day-to-day quality of service the pharmacy department provides to residents and clients. Participates in planning and controlling budgets for pharmacy services. Answers questions and provides information such as, but not limited to, pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals. Ensures all systems are updated on a regular basis adjusting cost of medications and billing amounts to ensure appropriate reimbursement. Responsible for collection management of all aging accounts. Acts as liaison for facility relations with the general public. Presents a service oriented philosophy reflecting the ministry of Heritage Ministries and conveys this to staff and residents. Interacts courteously with all residents, family and general public. Promptly reports all complaints and concerns to the assigned member of the management team.
Proficient with pharmacy computer programs with ability to learn new programs efficiently.
Previous experience in Pharmacy insurance billing, including NYS Medicaid and Third party prescription plans. Must be able to meet health assessment requirements, including required testing and health documentation. The Managing Pharmacist acts as the supervising pharmacist and is responsible for coordinating all of the pharmaceutical services of The Heritage Group. The Pharmacist is required to work within general methods and procedures, but they must use considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply guidelines to the pharmaceutical services as needed. The work requires knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations of pharmacies and long-term care payer sources.. Apply now!Responsibilities:

Bachelors degree, or Doctor, of Pharmacy. Must have NYS Registered Pharmacist License. Prior long-term care experience a plus.Proficient with pharmacy computer programs with ability to learn new programs efficiently.
