Manual Boring Mill Machinist

EXPERIENCE

We are currently seeking an experienced manual boring mill machinist. Experience with machining large parts on a manual boring mill and knowledge reading blueprints is a must. Pay is negotiable based on experience.

OVERVIEW

Self-motivated Must have own machinist tools Ability to read blueprints, sketches/drawings, manuals, and use of sample parts for reference Ability to perform OD and ID machining on multiple types of steel and bronze Ability to use tools such as micrometers, indicators/scales, calipers, etc. Ability to operate crane Machines parts to specifications using blueprints, sketches/drawings, and/or sample parts Monitoring machine speeds and feed, material rotation, depth cuts, precision Ability to adjust equipment for out of tolerance, report any malfunctions to supervisors Ability to adapt in changing priorities and environment Adheres to the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to his or her job Performs additional related duties as assigned Regular and reliable attendance and performance are required

Physical Requirement:

Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds maximum with assistance. Frequently lift, carry and manipulate up to 50 pounds. Frequent bending, kneeling and occasional climbing on 12 foot ladders and scaffolding. Works around fumes, odors and dust in an occasionally high noise level environment with appropriate personal protective equipment.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm (Additional Overtime As Needed) Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm Saturdays as needed
