Job Description

Job Overview We are a hydraulic repair facility. we need someone capable of machining new rods, barrels and head glands. Must be able to turn threads on external rods and internal barrel material We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual machining equipment to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure that all machined products meet strict quality standards and specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of materials, including plastics and metals, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects. Duties Operate manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining tools with precision and care Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to produce accurate parts Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications while ensuring safety protocols are followed Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precise measurement and quality control Assist in the development of machining processes using CNC programming knowledge when necessary Support assembly operations by preparing components for final product integration Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to lean manufacturing principles Requirements Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines Familiarity with CNC programming concepts and CNC lathe/milling machines (Fanuc controls preferred) is a plus but not mandatory Knowledge of GD&T standards for quality assurance purposes Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, SolidWorks, CAD software, and plastics injection molding is advantageous Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and machining tolerances Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, welding techniques, and assembly procedures Capable of operating forklifts safely (certification preferred) while maintaining safety standards in the workspace Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste Mechanical aptitude combined with good communication skills and a proactive attitude Join our team as a Manual Machinist where your expertise will drive precision manufacturing excellence!
