Manual Machinist (2 yr exp rq)

Position Summary:

You'll be responsible for operating manual lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, grinders, and other Machine Shop related equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters based on job requirements and material properties.
• Measure, inspect, and verify workpieces using precision measuring instruments.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and workpiece positioning to maintain quality and productivity.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, identify defects' root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve problems.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in setting up and operating manual lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of two years of experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

Work Environment:

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift and move material or parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
