• Anvil Innovations in Slaughter, LA is hiring an experienced Manual Machinist. The role centers on setting up and running manual lathes, with limited work on vertical mills, drill presses, and related equipment. You'll be responsible for your own setups and held to consistent quality and traceability standards throughout.

• WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Setting up and operating manual lathes as the primary function
• Cutting a variety of thread forms
• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
• Inspecting work using calipers, O.D./I.D. micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments
• Properly aligning, securing, and removing fixtures, tooling, and work holding
• Selecting and deploying appropriate inserts, fixtures, and cutting tools
• Maintaining traceability documentation on all jobs
• Performing daily cleaning and light maintenance on equipment
• Following safety protocols

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience operating manual lathes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
• Comfortable with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges)
• Solid applied math skills

• PAY & SCHEDULE

• Pay is based on experience and skillset
• Quarterly performance-based incentive program
• Full-time, Monday-Friday
