Job Description

Position Summary The Manual Operator is responsible for safely operating manual production equipment and supporting daily manufacturing activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency. This role plays a key part in maintaining workflow, producing high-quality parts, and meeting customer and company expectations. Key Responsibilities Production & Machine Operation Operate manual production equipment according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Load, unload, and inspect materials during production runs. Monitor equipment performance and report any irregularities or mechanical issues to the Supervisor. Perform basic machine adjustments as trained. Vast knowledge of micrometer reading. Understanding of a 2-ax's manual lathe with threading. Quality & Compliance Conduct visual inspections of parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Document production counts, scrap, and downtime accurately. Follow all company quality procedures, SOPs, and work instructions. Safety & Housekeeping Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace. Wear required PPE at all times and follow OSHA and company safety protocols. Immediately report safety concerns, injuries, or near misses to the Supervisor. Teamwork & Communication Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output goals. Communicate equipment or process issues promptly. Support continuous improvement activities and cross-training efforts as needed. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
