5+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment. Proficient in SolidWorks, using it for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kaizen, to drive continuous improvement. ERP/MRP system experience to support production planning and material flow B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline A client of insight global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Sarasota, FL. The Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting day?to?day production operations by developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. This role involves using SolidWorks to create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and GD&T, as well as designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support machining and assembly operations. The engineer partners closely with design and quality teams to ensure DFM/DFA during new product introductions, leads Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen events, and drives continuous improvement through time studies, capacity analysis, and value stream mapping. They troubleshoot production issues using structured root cause analysis methods, maintain process documentation including SOPs, PFMEAs, and control plans, train operators on new processes and equipment, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO standards while working within ERP/MRP systems.
Compensation:
$75,000 to $85,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
