Job Description
Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer III is a highly experienced role that is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment in one or more facilities. Oversees and optimizes more complex manufacturing and assembly of new and existing Parker products to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence. Develops advanced manufacturing techniques, testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety. May be responsible for developing and deploying large capital projects. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct or indirect reports, but does have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports. Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Flow
- Plans and designs complex and advanced manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Determines equipment and tooling needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications. Process Improvement
- Helps develop and implement process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost. Leads teams in large scope process improvement initiatives. Engineering Design Support
- Recommends design concepts for engineering leadership regarding concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures complex processes and procedures comply with regulations for multiple solution lines. Applies frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Remediation
- Investigates and takes corrective action to ensure product quality and resolve quality issues.
