Job Description

Manufacturing Technician - Hands-On Role with Training Provided We're looking for a motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our team. If you have some technical or mechanical skills and enjoy working with your hands, this is a great opportunity to grow. You'll be involved in machine operations, assembly, pre-assembly work, and even classic car and Americana restoration projects. No two days are the same and we'll train you in the areas where you don't yet have experience.
What Youll Do:
Operate shop machines and tools (training provided). Perform assembly and pre-assembly tasks. Assist with classic car and Americana restoration projects. Keep tools and workspace clean, safe, and organized. Learn from experienced technicians and develop new skills.
What Were Looking For:
Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work. Some machine/assembly experience preferred, but not required. Willingness to learn and take direction. Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded. An interest in classic cars or craftsmanship is a big plus.

401k, Holidays, Medical, Sick Leave, Vacation Electro Mechanical Specialists , LLC (EMS) , located in Bozrah, CT, is a contract manufacturer supporting all branches of the U.S. Military, the Defense Logistics Agency, and works closely with a number of shipyards, including Electric Boat, Newport News, and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Our employees represent more than 500 combined years of experience with expertise in the following areas: motor design, manufacture, overhaul and repair; low noise motor and generator design; acoustic design and analysis; permanent magnet motor design; quiet electro-mechanical actuation (EMA) systems for submarine fluid and mechanical systems; system design and integration; printed circuit board assembly design, manufacture, and test; mechanical design and integration; materials and welding engineering; shock & vibration design, qualification & operational testing; hydrodynamics; program management. In addition to design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly and test spaces, the facility includes a full in-house machine shop capability (5 HAAS CNC cells and numerous manual machines), metal cutting capabilities (BOSS laser cutter and an A&V waterjet), a robotic welding cell, an automated assembly cell, and paint and powder coat booths. EMS provides consulting services to, and has long-standing working relationships with key industry leaders that design, manufacture, and support propulsion motors of varying scale (including permanent magnet motors), battery systems, and controls. EMS's legacy is in the design, manufacturing, overhaul and repair of U.S. Navy motors for pumps, fans, and propulsion systems. Utilizing our network of highly specialized vendors and contractors, along with our own manufacturing personnel, we have a unique business structure that allows us to provide our customers with quality products at the best cost / price solution.
