Experienced Auto Mechanic / Auto Body Technician (with Machine Shop Involvement)Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Mechanic / Auto Body Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive repair and/or auto body work who is also eager to expand their skills into the machine shop environment. Candidates should have proven hands-on experience in auto mechanics or body repair, with a willingness to learn new processes and equipment where experience is limited.Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles (classic and modern). Carry out auto body repairs, including panel replacement, sanding, priming, painting, and finishing. Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as needed for repair or restoration. Assist in machining and fabrication tasks in the machine shop (training provided). Work with both mechanical and cosmetic restoration projects, including classic cars and custom builds. Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail on every job. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Collaborate with team members on problem-solving and project execution.Qualifications:
Proven experience as an auto mechanic and/or auto body technician . Knowledge of vehicle systems, parts, and repair techniques. Familiarity with auto body repair methods (welding, grinding, filler, paint prep, refinishing). Basic fabrication or machining knowledge a plus (training available). Ability to read and follow technical manuals, repair procedures, and work orders. Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship. Willingness to learn and cross-train in new areas. Preferred Experience (not required): Classic car repair or restoration. Welding and fabrication. Machine shop equipment operation.What We Offer:
