We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Builder Direct Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will have two years of relevant experience in the cabinet industry with 20/20 Design software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Custom Home project management a. Perform blueprint takeoffs and review project specifications. b. Meet with homeowners and builders as needed to review: i. Cabinet designs and layouts ii. Door Styles and finish selections iii. Plan revisions and redlines iv. Project requirements and expectations c. Create 2020 Design drawings, bid details, pricing documentation, and contract documents for customer review and approval. d. Coordinate field measure with Field Superintendent e. Submit completed projects to Order Entry and coordinate any custom engineering requirements with the Engineering team. f. Review and confirm orders after processing to ensure accuracy and completeness. g. Coordinate installation requirements with the Field Operations team. h. Ensure installation packets contain accurate and complete drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation. i. Maintain communication with customers and internal departments throughout the project. j. Track each project from initial design through installation, punch work, and final completion. 2. Outside of custom homes, function as member of the Bid Team for builder bids. 3. Receives initial plans for builder communities and reviewing all bid sheets for accuracy and appropriateness for design and manufacturing processes; 4. Reviews placement of appliances for accurate placement in the design; 5. Creates drawings for all builder community plans per specifications and appropriateness for design and manufacturing processes; 6. Submits the Complete Bid Package to the appropriate individual within the Sales department. 7. Revises Master File to reflect required changes or create new Master File for specific community for resubmission. 8. Responsible for problem solving, utilizing expertise, research and appropriate parties to quickly resolve issues. 9. Utilize expertise to recognize different wood species, door styles by sight and by name. Uses appropriate abbreviations in production descriptions for products and accessories on dealer orders. 10. Responsible for customer service to builders, including problem solving and ensuring customer satisfaction with every interaction. 11. Responsible for the occasional support of the Builder Direct Design Team by performing various tasks coordinated through the Director of Sales and Builder Direct Manager.
Functions and responsibilities include:
a. Responsible for the accurate processing of builder orders in a timely manner, including all specifications for each item, as well as drawings if necessary. b. Responsible to follow builder orders through to completion, working with appropriate parties to quickly resolve issues that may delay timely processing and/or completion, presenting solutions that are acceptable to all parties. c. Submits builder order information, with appropriate detail, i.e., Builder, Product Styles, Color, Hardware, Accessories, etc., ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines. d. Responsible for the collection of information on NOS sales, box count totals and warranty replacement items.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A
high school diploma/GED and two years of related cabinet design experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Previous experience with 20/20 Design software strongly preferred; Intermediate level of Excel required. Previous experience within a bid team at the coordinator/specialist level in the cabinet industry strongly preferred.
