Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Custom Cabinet Engineer, where innovation meets craftsmanship! In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, fabricating, and installing custom cabinetry tailored to our clients' unique needs. Your expertise will ensure precise measurements, seamless assembly, and flawless installation of high-quality cabinets that elevate interior spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with creative problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Create detailed cabinet engineering drawings and CNC-ready files . Prepare shop drawings, cut lists, assembly paperwork, hardware requirements, and other production documents. Review designs for accuracy, functionality, constructability, and material efficiency. Order materials, inserts, hardware, and components for assigned projects. Troubleshoot design and production issues and make necessary corrections. Assist Designers with complex design and engineering challenges. Participate in project and production meetings. Provide technical support to Designers, Sales, Project Managers, Bidding Managers, Project Coordinators, and shop personnel. Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Ensure projects are accurate, optimized, and ready for production. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience with Mozaik and AutoCAD. Experience with Cabinet Vision and/or Microvellum is highly preferred. Knowledge of CNC production and cabinet manufacturing. Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, hardware, and installation requirements. Ability to read architectural plans, elevations, and technical drawings. Strong drafting, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organization. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. 2+ years of experience in cabinet engineering, cabinet design, millwork, or a related field preferred. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is technical, detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive , with the ability to take a design from concept to a complete, accurate, production-ready cabinet package. Experience with additional CAD/CAM, CNC, or cabinet design software is a plus.
