About Us:
Gentry Stinson is committed to quality craftsmanship. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Journeyman Cabinet Maker, you will collaborate with designers, project managers, and fellow craftsmen to create high-end custom cabinetry, furniture, and millwork for residential and commercial clients. Your expertise will ensure projects are completed to exact specifications, on time, and to the highest standards of artistry.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD drawings. Select, measure, and cut materials (hardwoods, veneers, composites) with precision. Operate hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery safely and efficiently. Assemble, finish, and install custom cabinetry and millwork on-site. Perform quality checks to ensure flawless craftsmanship. Maintain a clean, organized workshop and equipment. Collaborate with team members. Adhere to safety protocols and deadlines.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience as a cabinet maker, post-apprenticeship (journeyman certification preferred). Mastery of joinery techniques, finishing processes, and material properties. Proficiency with cabinet-making tools (table saws, planers, routers, etc.) and CNC machinery. Strong math skills and ability to troubleshoot design challenges. Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods. Valid driver's license for on-site installations. Portfolio showcasing custom projects (high-end residential/commercial work a plus).
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during a daily routine. Ability to stand for long periods.
