Position Overview:

Extron is looking for a Finish Carpenter/Cabinet Maker to support our Facilities/Maintenance department at our Anaheim, CA location. Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Construct and assemble high-quality cabinetry, furniture, and custom woodwork for sets, experiential builds, and trade shows. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately. Build cabinetry, fixtures, set flats, and other custom wood elements, leveraging your woodworking expertise. Prepare components for finishing, including sanding and prepping for the paint department, using techniques familiar to cabinet makers. Utilize tools such as table saws, routers, sanders, planers, and hand tools safely and efficiently, with an emphasis on precision woodworking. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance productivity and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

7 to 10+ years of demonstrated construction and woodshop experience, including operation of tools and machinery for woodworking projects. Background in both residential and commercial construction, with an understanding of building practices and materials. Proficiency in cabinetmaking and finish carpentry techniques, including precision cutting, joining, sanding, and finishing. Ability to work with wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, and veneers. Ability to lift moderate weights as required for handling materials and equipment. Experience with AutoCAD design, able to create and interpret technical drawings. Skilled in designing and building furniture, from concept to finished product. Expertise in furniture and cabinetry, including installation and finishing. Assists with tradeshow display setup, including transport and assembly of materials. Ability to support various tasks related to woodshop and construction environments. Always maintain a professional and clean appearance. Proficient computer skills. Detail oriented. Contractor license preferred but not required. Salary range: $38.00 to $45.00 per hour. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
