Draftsman - Miscellaneous Metals / Stair / Railing

Summary RDS Industrial, Inc. is seeking an experienced Draftsman / CAD Detailer to join our growing custom metal fabrication company. We design, fabricate, and install high-end architectural metal projects including stairs, railings, gates, canopies, aluminum and miscellaneous metals for commercial and residential projects. We are looking for a practical, production-minded person who can create accurate 3D shop drawings, handle revisions quickly, and help keep fabrication moving. Our facility utilizes Autodesk Products - primarily Inventor What You'll Do Prepare shop drawings for stairs, railings, gates, canopies, and misc metals Read architectural and structural plans Create fabrication-ready drawings from field dimensions, photos, and markups Revise drawings based on architect / customer comments Coordinate with shop and installation teams Maintain drawing logs and prioritize active jobs Help solve fit-up and fabrication issues before production begins Work with 2D drawings and 3D models when needed What We're Looking For Strong experience with Autodesk products Experience producing shop drawings for fabricated products Ability to read construction plans and details Strong attention to detail and common sense Able to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy Self-starter with dependable attendance Preferred (Not Required) Experience with stairs, railings, aluminum, ornamental metals, or structural steel Experience with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar Point cloud / scan-to-model experience Shop fabrication knowledge Why Work Here Established company with long history in Brevard County Interesting custom projects (not repetitive cookie-cutter work) Stable full-time opportunity Opportunity to make an immediate impact Direct communication, fast decisions, no corporate nonsense To Apply Please send resume and, if available, examples of shop drawings or completed projects.
