Position Overview:

The Cabinet Maker will encompass operation of woodworking machines, use of hand tools, prepare measurements of interior space, and the ability to read and understand shop drawings. Cabinet Installer will perform cabinets, tops, trim & stained woodworking installation, quality control and cleanliness. Job Duties Operation of woodworking machines and use of hand tools to cut, shape and form wood Knowledge of building materials Operation of CNC and Edgebanding Machine Able to understand blueprint drawings and written specifications. Proper measuring of the interior space is imperative Able to custom build pieces in an efficient manner Provide customer service Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment Comply with all Elegance By Design Inc. policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements Communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person This role could be required to act as a "lead" periodically as designated by their manager Ability to use job specific tools to install cabinetry, hardware and trim Maintain a safe and clean job site. - Per Employer Standards - Oversees and assist with deliveries and installation Affix parts and cabinets to the walls Hang shelves, build pedestals and shell, lay tops and affixes door hinges, drawer slides and handles Manage time clock and clock in and out daily for jobs and breaks Report directly to field supervisor This job description is subject to change as the company grows and needs morph.
