Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality custom cabinets and woodworking projects that meet precise specifications. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and construction will ensure each piece is crafted with precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential projects, bringing clients' visions to life through expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. Responsibilities Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately build custom cabinets and related woodwork. Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinetry using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of construction materials. Perform finishing tasks such as caulking, sanding, staining, and sealing to achieve a polished look. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met and projects stay on schedule. Handle heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Assist with other carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, siding, or remodeling as needed. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Strong background in carpentry with specific expertise in residential cabinetry, trim carpentry, framing, and woodworking. Familiarity with construction site procedures including rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, mold remediation, water damage restoration, and tile laying is a plus. Hands-on experience operating woodworking machines and power tools for woodworking safely. Knowledge of wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, and other related products. Previous work in the restoration industry or heavy renovation projects is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
