In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and finishing high-quality cabinets and woodwork that enhance residential, commercial, or institutional spaces. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately build custom cabinets and wood structures. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery to cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinetry components with precision. Measure spaces accurately and perform framing, trimming, door hanging, and finishing work to ensure seamless integration of cabinetry within various environments. Conduct construction site inspections to verify quality standards, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines. Collaborate with construction management teams on estimating costs, scheduling work phases, and coordinating installation activities. Perform detailed cabinet installation including caulking, glazing, glass installation, and finishing touches such as painting or staining. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols related to construction painting, masonry, roofing, concrete finishing, and other trades involved in remodeling projects. Skills Extensive experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), and heavy equipment operation relevant to cabinetry fabrication. Hand tools will be provided by the employee. Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and project documentation. Experience with plumbing and electrical systems as they relate to cabinet integration or remodeling projects. Ability to read technical drawings such as schematics for electrical wiring or plumbing layouts as they pertain to cabinet making and installation. Knowledge of restoration techniques for older buildings or damaged structures involving caulking or plastering.
