Come grow with us! We are seeking a experienced to semi experienced Cabinet builder. Because we are a new company, we are starting our pay at $18 a hour but after a 1 to 3 month probation period the pay will significantly change based on performance and visible experience . As our company grows bigger and successfully, so will our benefits. We are usually a 40 hour, 7:30 to 4:30, 5 days a week business, BUT if our projects become big tasks then overtime will be available. We need individuals that know what a new business takes to grow. We are a veteran owned & operated establishment that takes pride in our jobs. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, cut lists, and specifications. Lay out, measure, mark, and cut wood, plywood, MDF, and laminates using hand and power tools (table saw, miter saw, router, jointer, planer, band saw, CNC as applicable). Construct cabinet carcasses, face frames, doors, drawers, shelving and countertops using joinery methods (dowels, biscuits, dados, rabbets, pocket screws, mortise & tenon, dovetails). Assemble, clamp, glue, fasten, and square components; install hardware (hinges, slides, pulls) and adjust for proper fit and operation. Apply edge banding, veneers, laminates; prepare surfaces for finishing and perform finishing tasks or hand off to finishers. Install cabinets and trim on job sites: set, level, secure, scribe, and caulk; coordinate with other trades as needed. Operate and maintain shop equipment; perform routine tool maintenance and sharpening. Create, use, and maintain jigs and fixtures to ensure repeatable accuracy and efficiency. Perform quality control inspections; identify and correct defects; ensure final products meet dimensional tolerances, aesthetics, and client expectations. Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean workspace, and adhere to PPE and dust-extraction protocols. Track material usage, report shortages, and assist with inventory control; complete job documentation and time records. Qualifications 2+ years cabinetmaking or carpentry experience (or apprenticeship/completion of relevant program); experience with custom cabinetry preferred. Proficient with cabinet shop tools and machines; familiarity with CNC routing is a plus. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements. Proven knowledge of joinery techniques, hardware installation, veneering, and edgework. Competent finishing skills (sanding, staining, spray finishing) preferred. Ability to perform precise work to tolerances (e.g., 1/16"-1/8") and maintain consistent reveal/gap control. Skills & Attributes Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to design changes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication with supervisors, clients, and other trades.
Physical stamina:
lifting (up to 50 lbs routinely), standing, kneeling, bending, and working at heights when required.
Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
