Solid Surface Builder/Helper

### Position Summary We are looking for a skilled

• Solid Surface Fabricator
• (the go-to "solid surface person" in our shop) to join our production team.

In this hands-on role, you will fabricate, finish, and prepare premium solid surface products (Corian®, LG Hi-Macs®, Staron®, and similar acrylic solid surface materials) that integrate seamlessly with our custom millwork for commercial installations. If you take pride in creating flawless seams, precise thermoformed edges, and durable, beautiful surfaces that exceed client expectations, we want to hear from you. ### Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to fabricate countertops, vanities, wall panels, sinks, and custom solid surface components to exact tolerances.
• Cut, rout, shape, seam, glue, sand, and polish solid surface sheets using routers, table saws, chop saws, orbital sanders, and specialized hand tools.
• Perform thermoforming, edge buildup, miter folds, and seamless jointing for high-end commercial finishes.
• Cut and reinforce sink cutouts, backsplashes, and integrated accessories.
• Inspect finished pieces against templates and drawings for quality, flatness, color match, and surface perfection.
• Collaborate closely with the millwork, assembly, and finishing teams to ensure solid surface elements integrate perfectly with wood casework and laminates.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Meet daily/weekly production targets with accuracy and efficiency. ### Requirements & Qualifications
• 2-5+ years
• of proven solid surface fabrication experience in a commercial millwork, cabinetry, or countertop shop (entry-level candidates with strong woodworking backgrounds and a willingness to train may be considered).
• Hands-on proficiency with routers, sanders, saws, and solid surface-specific tools.
• Ability to read shop drawings and use a tape measure with precision.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to zero-defect quality.
• Physical stamina: ability to stand for 8+ hours, lift up to 75 lbs (with team assistance for heavier pieces), bend, reach, and work in a shop environment.
• Reliable transportation, excellent attendance, and a positive team-oriented attitude.

• Preferred:

  Experience with AWI quality standards, color-matching glues/resins, and previous commercial project work. ### What We Offer
