Job Description

Job Summary Closet Factory of West Michigan is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Lead Installer / Installation Technician to join our team specializing in custom closets and innovative storage solutions. In this role, you will help oversee installations from start to finish, ensuring each project meets our standards for quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. You will work directly with clients, coordinate with office and project leadership, and complete installations efficiently while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. Duties and Responsibilities Lead or assist with the installation of custom closet systems, cabinetry, and storage solutions in residential homes Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, shop drawings, and installation instructions Take and verify measurements in the field to ensure accurate fit and finish Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, assemble, level, secure, and finish components Troubleshoot jobsite conditions and make installation adjustments as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite throughout each project Communicate professionally with clients during installation and help address questions or concerns on-site Coordinate with internal team members to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and correctly Help uphold installation quality standards and reduce callbacks through careful, detail-oriented work Qualifications Experience in carpentry, cabinetry, installation, remodeling, finish work, or a related trade preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools Ability to read drawings, layouts, and basic installation plans accurately Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Ability to work independently, solve problems in the field, and stay productive without constant supervision Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to safely lift and handle materials in a physically active work environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred What We're Looking For The right person for this role is dependable, professional, efficient, and takes pride in delivering a clean finished product.
