Job Description

Die Maker Apprentice - Marne, MI DISHER is currently partnering with a tool and die manufacturing company based out of Marne, MI. This company is a West Michigan-based, ISO 9001-certified tooling manufacturer specializing in production-ready tools for the metal stamping industry. The company is part of a larger industrial holding group, and it offers extensive in-house capabilities including tryout presses, CNC machining, wire
EDM, CMM
inspection, five-axis fiber laser, and sheet hydroforming to support complex, high-precision stamping programs. What it's like to work here: The culture is straightforward and direct, with a focus on practical problem solving and getting quality work out the door. This Die Maker Apprentice opportunity would be a good fit for someone who wants to learn the trade in a practical, hands-on shop while gradually taking on more independent work. This entry-level position will include on-the-job training as well as in the classroom. \n What you will get to learn: Coordinate and facilitate die build from design approval through customer approval. Understand timing, delivery, and quality requirements. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to assemble details on to die set. Ability to develop trim line. Coordinate with management toward a common goal, make delivery of a quality product. Communicating clearly with different stakeholders. Adhering to the Quality System. Promoting, facilitating, and demonstrating continuous improvement.
What will make you successful:
High school diploma. Experience from a manufacturing environment would be preferred. Good communication skills. Willingness to learn. An interest in advancement in a manufacturing environment. \n
