Job Description

At JCR Custom Cabinets, we take pride in designing and building premium custom cabinetry that transforms homes and businesses. Our commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and exceptional client service has made us a trusted name in the industry. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinetmaker to join our growing team and contribute to the creation of beautifully crafted, custom-built cabinetry. Job Description As a Cabinetmaker, you will play a key role in assembling and preparing custom cabinetry for installation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cabinet construction, an eye for detail, and a strong understanding of woodworking techniques and materials. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Cornelius, NC. Candidates must have reliable transportation to our shop and a valid North Carolina driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble custom cabinetry components with precision and efficiency Execute exact measurements that meet our uncompromising quality standards Adapt skills to meet unique customer requirements for a perfect fit Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure each cabinet exceeds expectations Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Operate woodworking machinery , power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively Assist lead carpenter with onsite installations, as needed Perform fitting, trimming, sanding, and hardware installation, as needed Inspect completed work for accuracy and craftsmanship Maintain a clean and organized workspace Collaborate with teammates to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in cabinet assembly or custom woodworking (required) Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and joinery Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut lists Proficient use of woodworking power tools and machinery Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship Reliable transportation to our Cornelius, NC shop (required) Valid North Carolina driver's license (required) Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Work Environment Shop-based position with moderate to high noise levels depending on production activity Standing and manual labor required for extended periods What We Offer Competitive hourly wage based on experience Consistent, full-time work schedule Paid holidays Opportunities for advancement within a growing company Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to work on high-end, custom projects that showcase true craftsmanship
