Cabinet Maker Shop Assistant Brandon Parrow Cabinetmakers — Wilmington, NC Full-time | Pay negotiable based on experience About Us Brandon Parrow Cabinetmakers is a locally owned custom kitchen and bath cabinetry company serving Wilmington and the surrounding coastal region. We design and build cabinetry for homeowners, remodelers, and builders who want quality work and a personal experience they can't get from a big-box store. We're a small, growing team — and this role is a hands-on way to learn a real trade from the inside. The Role You'll work in our shop alongside experienced cabinetmakers, helping keep production moving on custom kitchen and bath cabinetry. This isn't a starting-from-zero position — we're looking for someone who already knows their way around a shop or job site and can contribute from week one. For the right person, there's a clear path from shop assistant to skilled cabinetmaker as your abilities grow. What you'll do: Assist with cutting, sanding, assembly, and finishing of custom cabinetry Load, unload, and organize lumber, sheet goods, and hardware Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe — sweeping, stacking, maintaining work areas Help pack, load, and deliver finished cabinetry to job sites Assist installers on-site as needed Operate shop equipment under supervision as your skills develop

Who We're Looking For Required:

Minimum 2 years of experience in woodworking, cabinetmaking, carpentry, or a related trade Reliable and punctual — the shop depends on you being here Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stay on your feet through a shift Proficient with hand and power tools Attention to detail — in custom work, close enough isn't good enough Valid driver's license Nice to have: Cabinet shop experience specifically (vs. general carpentry or construction) Experience with table saws, edge banders, CNC equipment, or spray finishing Forklift experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay, negotiable based on experience Quarterly performance bonus Paid time off Health insurance 401(k) with company match Training on our equipment and processes Room to grow: shop assistant → cabinetmaker as your skills earn it Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume and a summary of your trade experience.
