Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Custom Woodworker to join our tight knit team. In this role, you will bring craftsmanship and precision to a variety of woodworking projects, including indoor and outdoor furniture, cabinetry, decks and gazebos. Your expertise will help transform design visions into tangible, high-quality products that enhance residential and commercial spaces. Duties Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately produce custom woodwork components. Create your own designs based on provided specifications and requirements. Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently to cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood materials. Take timber from rough sawn slabs all the way to finished products. Measure spaces meticulously to ensure proper fitment of custom wood products while adhering to blueprint specifications. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all power tool safety protocols and industry standards. Requirements Proven experience in carpentry, cabinetmaking or woodworking within residential or commercial environments. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, CNC machines, and woodworking machinery such as saws and sanders. Strong understanding of construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of wood construction such as traditional joinery and modern time saving techniques. Previous experience in machining rough sawn slabs into square dimensional lumber. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex fabrication or installation tasks. Excellent safety awareness regarding power tool operation and construction site protocols; OSHA certification is a plus. Forklift experience is a plus.
