We are seeking an experienced Millwork Drafter / Detailer to produce accurate, buildable shop drawings and support project execution from concept through production. Position Overview The Millwork Drafter will be responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, fabrication packages, and production-ready documentation for custom millwork projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of millwork construction methods, materials, hardware, and coordination with fabrication and installation teams. Responsibilities Produce detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly details for custom millwork projects Develop plans, elevations, sections, and exploded details for production Create cut lists, material takeoffs, and hardware schedules Review architectural drawings, design intent packages, and specifications Coordinate drawings with project managers, estimators, shop personnel, and installers Incorporate revisions from client comments, RFIs, and field conditions Ensure drawings are practical, accurate, and ready for manufacturing Support CNC-ready drawing preparation when required Assist in resolving production or installation issues through detailing solutions Qualifications 3+ years experience drafting/detailing custom millwork or architectural woodwork Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, joinery, veneers, laminates, hardware, and fabrication methods Proficiency in one or more of the following: AutoCAD Microvellum (preferred) Cabinet Vision SolidWorks / Inventor (plus) SketchUp (plus) Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings Knowledge of AWI standards is a plus Experience producing shop drawings for commercial interiors, retail, hospitality, or luxury residential work preferred Strong organization and communication skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Experience Custom fixture or retail rollout detailing CNC programming coordination Material and hardware specification familiarity (Blum, Hafele, etc.) Field measurement / as-built integration Finish and substrate knowledge a plus

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
