Architectural Millworker / Cabinet Maker - Special Assembly American Wood Design | Full-Time | $25.00-$35.00 per hour 5+ YEARS
OF ARCHITECTURAL MILLWORK OR HIGH-END CUSTOM CABINETRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
American Wood Design is looking for an experienced Architectural Millworker / Cabinet Maker to join our Special Assembly Department. This position is intended for a skilled craftsman who can take detailed shop drawings and independently build complex architectural millwork assemblies to a high level of quality. This is not an entry-level cabinet shop position. We are looking for someone with significant experience in commercial architectural millwork, high-end custom cabinetry, or a similar environment. What You'll Be Doing Build complex architectural millwork and custom cabinetry Read and interpret detailed shop drawings and architectural plans Independently lay out and assemble specialty millwork Build custom wall panels, reception desks, cabinetry, specialty features, and other architectural assemblies Operate woodworking equipment including table saws, shapers, jointers, planers, routers, and other shop equipment Perform laminate, veneer, and specialty finish material applications Troubleshoot fabrication and assembly challenges Check completed work for accuracy, fit, finish, and overall quality Prepare completed assemblies for shipment Occasionally assist with field installation when required Use our ERP system for time tracking, material requests, and production information What We're Looking For Minimum 5 years of architectural millwork or high-end cabinetry experience Strong cabinetmaking and architectural millwork skills Ability to build complex projects independently Ability to read and understand detailed shop drawings Experience with woodworking machinery and hand tools Experience working with plywood, MDF, particleboard, laminates, veneers, hardwoods, and other millwork materials Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Good problem-solving skills Dependable and able to work as part of a team Positive attitude Valid driver's license and reliable transportation About American Wood Design American Wood Design is a family-owned architectural millwork company specializing in high-quality custom commercial millwork.
