Lead Installer/Fabricator
  • Custom Metal & Wood Fabrication High-End Residential & Commercial Projects Pay:

Murray, UT + local job sites (Summit & Wasatch Counties) About the Role Calaway Designs is a custom metal and wood fabrication shop specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects . We are hiring a Lead Installer/Metal Fabricator to take projects from design and fabrication through to final stages during with on site installations. This role is for an experienced installer who can perform skilled welding techniques, lead crews, and ensure every detail is executed to a high standard. Our Lead Installer/Fabricator will be trusted to represent Calaway Designs in shop and on-site to deliver clean, professional installations—particularly custom railings and doors . What You'll Be Responsible For Fabricate and Lead on-site installation of custom railings, doors, and other architectural metal/wood projects Being efficient in shop, performing welding skills with efficiency, skill and safety Read shop drawings and verify dimensions for fabrication and on site conditions Coordinate professionally with coworkers, homeowners, general contractors, and other trades Plan installs, stage materials, and coordinate daily jobsite workflow Direct and support install team members to ensure efficiency and quality Maintain clean, organized, and safe work stations both in shop and on job sites Safely transport materials and equipment to job sites Complete final quality checks and punch-list items Required Experience & Qualifications 5+ years installing custom railings and doors (metal, wood, or mixed materials) Experience with TIG welding Prior experience leading installs or supervising small crews Strong finish quality and attention to detail Confident reading shop drawings and taking accurate field measurements Valid driver's license and clean driving record Reliable transportation to shop and job sites Preferred (Not Required) Wood finishing or specialty finish experience Metal finishing, patinas Why Work at Calaway Designs High-end, custom projects (not production or tract work) Authority and trust to run your own installs Competitive pay with room for growth Overtime opportunities Flexible scheduling when possible Tools and safety equipment provided Small, skilled team where leadership and craftsmanship matter Work Environment Shop based in Murray, UT Install work primarily in Summit & Wasatch Counties Full-time, in-person role Apply If you're an experienced installer with railing and door expertise , a clean driving record, and pride in leading high-quality installations, we want to hear from you.
